Hate crimes in MA hit a 10-year high in 2017. Senator Michael Moore, JCRC, ADL, and Representative Michael Day designed a proposal, now in the Senate supplemental budget, to provide anti-bias training to help curb hate crimes in public schools across the Commonwealth. LEARN MORE

 

Israel Engagement

Join Boston Partners for Peace and the Boston Jewish Film Festival for a screening of Muna, a series about an Israeli-Arab photographer caught between two worlds,

Holocaust Education

This Veterans Day, JCRC brought student winners of the Israel Arbeiter Holocaust Essay Contest to the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC to meet with survivor volunteers and visit the museum exhibits.

Organizing
JCRC and the Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN) have now: • Raised $600,000 to bond 127 people out of detention
• Housed 50 individuals and families coming out of detention
• Accompanied immigrants to over 650 court hearings
• Provided legal support to over 100 people

Looking for a B’nai Mitzvah Project?

Through our immigrant justice work, a bar mitzvah student recently donated 26 backpacks with food and money for people coming out of immigration detention going on long bus journeys to reunite with their families.

We now offer multiple options for students to engage in a mitzvah project book drive for a local public school, with author visits and pen pals!
