You can be part of a comprehensive network welcoming Afghan immigrants and refugees into our community.
Since September of 2021, JCRC has worked to organize 35 congregational support teams, including 25 synagogues, in order to welcome 180 Afghans who escaped Kabul in August. These teams—made up of hundreds of volunteers—have fundraised, found housing, welcomed people at the airport, gone grocery shopping, helped file for public benefits, gotten kids into school and much more.
This important work has been done in partnership with Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Services of MetroWest and Jewish Vocational Services, and supported by The Shapiro Foundation and CJP.
To learn more about how you can get involved, contact Rachie Lewis, Director of Synagogue Organizing at . You can also join our immigration email list and watch the below webinar.
